Pepsi Refresh Project Grantee
In May of 2011, Suitcase4Soldiers was chosen to participate in the Pepsi Refresh Project's voting period to become a grantee in the $5,000 tier. It started off as #32 out of hundreds of projects, and ended voting at #9, making it a Finalist. After a vigorous review process, Suitcase4Soldiers was chosen as a $5,000 grantee.

Prudential Spirit of Community Award
 In February of 2012, Ashley Easterly, Founder, was recognized as a Distinguished Finalist in the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. She received a bronze medal for her work.
In addition, Ashley also received a letter of congratulations from her Senator, John Cornyn.
